* Establish and implement a dynamic and professional approach to identifying and soliciting potential customers from the Korean, Chinese, and other potential markets, with emphasis on the Korean market.
* Evaluate bookings to ensure maximum revenue and controlled spending.
Negotiate prices with agents in the interest of the company’s bottom line.
* Assist in controlling the cost of goods sold through awareness of market fluctuations with the capability of upsetting lower costs and seasonal items.
* Develop and maintain effective marketing plans for generating revenues.
* Prepare action plans and ensure activities and action steps are achieved.
* Analyze the market and participate in promotional meetings.
* Provide statistical reports to include comparisons with prior years and determine the impact of current market demands on revenues.
* Maintain close client relationships with agents, all groups, and VIP clients.
Return all calls immediately and ensure continuous follow-up.
* Participate in the budget process and prepare monthly forecasts and other necessary reports.
Meet or exceed monthly forecasts.
* Research the market concerning competition to include room rate comparisons, menu comparisons, special promotions, etc.
Make suggestions and submit proposals for recommended changes, as required.
* Responsible for all aspects of advertising relating to responsible markets.
* Coordinate all sales advertisements.
Work with vendors for advertising campaigns: * Meet with media consultants or account executives to negotiate media buys for both local and international publications.
* Request jobs from advertising agencies.
Provide all information, request, and receive quotations.
Approve layouts and handle all payments.
* Develop monthly media plan to include print, radio, TV, internet, etc.
* Assist in the development of the company’s “Home Page” and review and update accordingly.
* Assist appropriate departments/divisions in promoting their products and services.
Promote special events through advertising using available media vehicles.
* Provide annual promotions listing to the Sales and Marketing Committee at the beginning of each year.
* Develop or assist in developing revenue-generating promotions.
Provide proposals and procure approval from executive committee members via the department head.
* Assist in finding sponsors, emcees, etc.
for special events.
* Promote special events through advertising, using available media vehicles.
* Report all monthly promotional events at department head/action officer meetings.
* Keep a library/file of hotel slides, photos, and negatives about market promotions or hotel facilities and outlets; advertisements of hotel promotions and competitors’ promotions, publications, and promotional brochures.
Ensure files are easily traced.
* Communicate all information/data pertinent to all clients or promotions with concerned departments.
* Prepare forecasts and other necessary reports concerning advertising and promotional giveaways.
Maintain monthly “actual expense” report.
* Assist in handling requests for information regarding the hotel, room rates, questionnaires, promotions, and special events, promptly.
* Notify departments of special promotions sponsored by the Guam Visitors’ Bureau or other industry organizations, which involve responsible markets and Hotel Nikko Guam.
* Communicate all information/data pertinent to all clients with concerned departments, i.

* Interpret and comply with a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagrammatic, or schedule form.
