*SUMMARY:* Responsible for generating the income for the radio station through the effective implementation of sale and marketing strategies.
Expected to work closely with management and departments within the company to ensure station quality output on sponsorship, promotions, events, publicity, and campaigns.
*ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:*
* Establishes and develops long-term business relationships by meeting with clients and prospects
* Sources, identifies and secures new business opportunities
* Develops and increases sales revenue to meet assigned targets
* Attends events to network with clients or pursue prospects
* Presents products and promotional proposals
* Generate creative solutions for clients
* Conducts contract negotiations, closing the sale and developing marketing plans for contract accounts
* Coordinates and assists in sales meetings to include agenda preparation
* Assists management on the advertising and promotion activities including print, online, electronic media, and direct mail
* Recommends product positioning, packaging, and pricing strategy to produce the highest possible long-term market share
* Establishes and maintains relationships with industry influencers and key strategic partners
* Deliver accurate reports and forecasts of revenue
* Reviews and analyzes sales performances against programs, quotes and plans to determine effectiveness
* Produce an annual marketing plan to increase revenue growth for the company by using a consultative approach to increase traffic to advertiser’s place of business
* Prepares periodic sales report showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion
* Prepares marketing activity reports and present to management
* Monitors new products, services and other general information of interest to customers
* Monitors competitive activity and trends of the radio market, different station and program styles, and audience demographics
* Monitors the potential of digital communication channels for advertising and marketing campaigns
* Ensures compliance to media law, ethics and industry regulations around radio sales
