*Job Title:* Big Island Grown Market Activation Representative *Reports To:* Director of Marketing *Compensation: *Contract Work *Location: *Kauai *Summary:* The Big Island Grown Market Activation Representative is responsible for representing the Big Island Grown brand and its products to the public.
This includes developing and executing marketing and promotional campaigns, attending and activating approved events, interfacing with wholesale accounts, and creating content for social media and other marketing channels.
*Scope of work & responsibilities:* * Be a passionate representative for the brand, and represent the brand in alignment with our core values and mission * Drive brand awareness & adoption of products on outer islands within the current State program * Provide top caliber service & education to our wholesale clients, dispensary staff, and consumers * Must be fluent with our brand, culture, products, and campaigns * Market Activation Representative must have a thorough understanding of cannabis including the market, products, culture and etiquette * Work closely with Marketing Department & Retail/Sales Director to execute objectives related to the brand on outer islands * Develop and execute approved marketing and promotional campaigns for the Big Island Grown brand including developing and effectively communicating creative concepts * Plan, create, and cultivate engaging content, materials and experiences that can be used to generate brand interest including but not limited to writing blog posts, creating videos, taking photos and designing graphics * Interface with wholesale accounts and their teams to complete Quality Assurance (QA) checks to ensure that Big Island Grown’s product quality standards are being maintained-product is properly displayed, stored, represented, and sold * Perform routine in-store pop-ups to educate dispensary staff & customers about Big Island Grown and its products * Perform routine inspections of wholesale accounts and provide findings and feedback to the Big Island Grown Team via regular recap reports * Identify and create opportunities within the community to spread brand awareness * Attend approved events to represent the Big Island Grown brand-network with potential customers and partners, present, and set up and break down displays, installations and booths * Uphold the integrity of the brand with every interaction * Build relationships with key stakeholders in the community * Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices, including attending industry events, reading trade publications, and conducting research * Ensure standards of conduct & activities as a representative of Big Island Grown in compliance with HRS 329D & H.

R 11-850 * Maintain professionalism, confidentiality & discretion * Other duties as assigned *Qualifications:* * Must be able to hustle, and maintain continual application of your best effort! * Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field preferred * Must be highly self motivated with an excellent track record of follow through * Knowledge of cannabis, its effects and various forms * Alignment with Big Island Grown’s core values * Strong interpersonal and communication skills * Attention to detail and time management skills * Must be willing to work major events where there are large crowds of people.
* Must be willing to work a flexible schedule which can include nights, weekends and holidays.
* Must be willing to appear in social media and on other promotional material promoting the brand.
* Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
* Experience with social media marketing is preferred.
* Experience with event planning and execution is preferred.
* Experience with public speaking is preferred.
* Must be able to pass a background check in accordance with HRS 329D * Must be able to travel and have reliable transportation.
* Valid driver's license * Valid 329 Card * Must ensure compliance with current program requirements: HRS 329D & H.
