*Overview*
The Kauai Humane Society seeks a Marketing Coordinator to execute the organization's marketing strategy, acting as part documentarian and part entertainer.
KHS’s Marketing Coordinator is able to see and capture KHS programs in a unique way and is competent in using editing programs like Adobe Suite, Photoshop, and Premier as well as WordPress for keeping the KHS website up-to-date.
Handling dogs and cats of all sizes is the biggest perk of the job as you will be helping our animals find loving homes.
*Marketing Coordinator Qualifications*
* High school graduate or GED equivalent required; Post-secondary education focused in marketing and/or communications strongly preferred
* Understanding of videography
* Knowledge of image and video editing programs
* Strong computer/technology skills
* Strong writing skills
* Valid Hawaii Driver’s license, or valid out-of-state license, with a clear driving record for at least one year prior to application
*Marketing Coordinator Responsibilities*
* Works closely with the Communications Coordinator to tell the KHS story in a compelling way and empower others to share it
* Works collaboratively with the Director of Development to promote fundraising initiatives
* Creates graphics, photographs, and videos to be shared on digital platforms and print
* Creates graphics and content for online fundraising events promoted on the KHS website, social media channels, and email platform
* Looks for opportunities to expand the KHS brand to the continent
* Manages the KHS website, via WordPress, to ensure information is accurate and up-to-date.
* Oversees radio promotional opportunities (writing radio ads)
* Oversees the design and publishing of KHS’s marketing pieces to help promote the organization and specific services and programs
* Tracks and analyzes marketing results
* Attends off-site events (adoption events, volunteer events, development events) to gather content for social media accounts, development, and marketing collateral
* Utilizes Blackbaud, a donor management and non-profit marketing tool (training provided) for online fundraising and development
* Identifies potential influencers and supporters of the organization
* Actively educates self on the latest trends in online marketing, paid advertising, and nonprofit technology
* Completes other duties as assigned
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $40,000-$45,000/year, commensurate with experience
