SALES SPECIALIST KOREA MARKET Position Purpose Under the supervision of the Director of Sales is to assist the planning, execution, and optimization of our Korea marketing efforts.
The promotion of products and services through digital channels is a complex procedure with great potential which becomes increasingly useful for companies such as ours.
Qualifications Required Education and Experience • High school diploma or equivalent required • A minimum of 2 years' experience in digital marketing required.
• A minimum of 1 year hotel experience required.
• 1 year experience with Korea tour groups.
• Must speak, read, and write in Korean fluently.
Essential Job Functions Function • Assisting in the formulation of strategies to build a lasting digital connection with consumers • Planning and monitoring the ongoing company presence on social media • Launching optimized online advertisements to increase company and brand awareness • Maintain contract with clients once the program becomes definite • Maintain departmental division standards and control objectives • Function as effective liaison between clients and hotel personnel • Suggest, confirm, finalize, and communicate any changes to reservations or inquires • Assist with maximizing profits within the market and closely monitor Market competition • Maintain awareness of market situation and its impact on the hotel.
Anticipate business needs with flexible planning • Assist in the formulation of strategies to build a lasting digital connection with consumers • Plan and monitor the ongoing company presence on social media (Twitter, Facebook, etc.
) • Prepare online newsletters and promotional emails and organize their distribution through various channels • Provide creative ideas for content marketing and update website • Collaborate with designers to improve user experience • Acquire insight in online marketing trends and keep strategies up-to-date • Maintain partnerships with media agencies and vendors • Assist in preparing weekly and monthly reports and forecasts • Participate in quality control activities • Support and uphold hotel philosophy concerning code of conduct, employee relations, and the image within the community • Interact in courteous and professional manner with all guests, staff, and community members • Respond in courteous, professional and rapid manner in order to resolve all guest and staff difficulties • Coordinate, influence and persuade staff in order to maintain service standards of hotel • Interact with people beyond giving and receiving instructions, particularly interaction with co-workers, and guests in completing assignments, resolving staff and guest complaints • Interpret and comply with a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, and diagrammatic of schedule form • Perform a variety of duties, often changing from one tasks to another of a different nature without loss of efficiency or composure • Maintain clean and safe work area Customer Service • Interact in a courteous and professional manner with all guests, staff and community members • Respond in a courteous, professional and rapid manner in order to resolve all guest and staff difficulties Other • Other duties may be assigned as needed • Attending training sessions set out by the Westin Resort to ensure continued personal development Required Knowledge and Skills • Ability to focus and maintain attention to performance of tasks despite frequent stressful, emergency, critical or unusual interruptions • Ability to memorize, recollect and quickly retrieve dates, names, times, and other data • Ability to converse calmly with irate guests, superiors and subordinates in sometimes intense emotional situations • Ability to answer phones quickly, clearly, and professionally • Ability to maintain staff and guest confidentiality at all times • Interpret and comply with a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagrammatic or schedule form • Must be able to apply common sense understanding to follow instructions, to make decisions with minimal supervision and to prioritize tasks in order to maintain service standards • Must be able to convey positive image of self and hotel • Must perform mathematical operations with units of measure including, but not limited to, dollars, cents, feet, inches, cups, pounds, and ounces • Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) • Thorough knowledge of Front Office PMS • Thorough knowledge of restaurant and Front Office cashiering and controls Special Position Requirement • All employees must maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance.
• Associate or bachelor's degree in marketing or equivalent field.
• Ability to converse in two or more languages preferred.
Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel.
In addition, attendance at all scheduled training sessions and meetings are required.
