As an Insurance Claims Clerk, you will play a crucial role in supporting our claims department and contributing to our overall success.
A Claims Clerk will work closely with licensed Adjusters to become familiar with claims operations such as, identifying whether a policy covers claimed losses, investigating property and auto accidents, estimating repair costs and negotiating settlements.
This position involves investigative skills, ongoing customer communication and meticulous file upkeep.
A Claims Clerk will initiate the claims process, interview claimants, and retrieve pertinent data.
Please note that candidates for this position must be able to physical maneuver around property, walk on uneven surfaces, and be capable of inspecting possible hazardous areas such as Typhoon and Earthquake damage sites.
The clerk is expected to attain his/her adjusters license within 6 months of being hired.
Upon successful completion of training and the passing of the Adjusters License issued by the Government of Guam, he/she will be eligible for a Claims Adjuster position.
Individuals with a strong knowledge and interest in auto body repair, and building construction a plus! *Responsibilities:* As an Insurance Claims Clerk, your responsibilities will include: Assisting with the accurate and timely processing of insurance claims, adhering to company policies and industry regulations.
Reviewing claim documentation, including forms, reports, and invoices, for completeness and accuracy.
Entering claim data into the system and maintaining organized electronic and physical files.
Communicating with policyholders, agents, and other relevant parties to gather necessary information and documentation.
Responding to customer inquiries regarding claim status, coverage, and general policy information in a professional and helpful manner.
Collaborating with adjusters and claims examiners to ensure smooth and efficient claims processing.
Coordinating with external vendors, such as repair shops and medical providers, to facilitate the claims resolution process.
Assisting with the preparation of claim reports, statistical analysis, and other administrative tasks as required.
*Requirements:* To excel in this role, you should meet the following requirements: A minimum of a High school diploma.
College Degree preferred.
Additional relevant certifications or coursework is a plus.
Proven experience in an administrative role, preferably within the insurance industry.
High level attention to details- with excellent reading comprehension, observation and organizing Strong communication and customer service skills to interact effectively with policyholders and colleagues.
Proficiency in using computer systems, including data entry and document management software.
Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a deadline-driven environment.
Maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information with discretion.
Analytical and technical capability Strong commitment to compliance, on-going training and growth *REQUIRED LICENSE:* 1.
Valid Driver’s License.
*PREFERRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:* 1.
