Position Overview: Diesel Mechanic
A Diesel Mechanic, or Diesel Service Technician, inspects diagnoses, and repairs diesel-powered vehicles and machines, like trucks, forklifts, and trailers.
Their primary duties include running diagnostic tests on vehicles, replacing the vehicles’ engine, transmission, steering mechanism, or braking system, and testing the vehicle to determine if they correctly fixed the maintenance issue.
Responsibilities
· Inspects and repairs vehicles with diesel engines.
· Handles routine repairs, including oil and tire changes
· Interprets diagnostic test results accurately
· Writes detailed inspection reports and repair plans
· Collaborates with other diesel mechanics
