The Position:
We're looking for a passionate Regional Rehab Coordinator (RRC).
The Rehab Coordinator (RC) is responsible for providing coordination of rehabilitation services and support for the therapy team under the direction of the Director of Rehab.
RRC will provide assistance in developing and implementing strategic and innovative initiatives to sustain and grow the Rehab Department while following rules and regulations.
The RC works collaboratively with the DOR, Nursing Clinical Managers, Patient Care Coordinators, and QAPI Manager to ensure the patient receives coordinated rehab services.
The RC monitors therapy services and all care to the patients are provided in accordance with patient and family goals, professional, legal, regulatory, accrediting, and administrative requirements and follows the performance improvement plan for the division.
Coordinates rehab services to achieve goals and objectives in a timely manner.
Monitors department functions, rehab scheduling, staffing needs, assignments, and activities to ensure compliance and accreditation standards are met.
Works with the DOR to ensure Rehab Productivity is met on a regular basis.
Provides regulatory, documentation and billing leadership to employees across all practice areas of rehabilitation services.
Directs, under the supervision of DOR, rehabilitation billing audits, educates staff on CMS and private payor regulations, and ensures timely response to requests in accordance with established department and medical center policies and procedures and within prescribed guidelines.
Requirements:
Completion of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program OR
Associate degree or higher in Occupational Therapy Assistant Program from an American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) or the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (AOTE) certified school.
Bachelor's degree in Physical therapy, Occupational therapy or Speech Language Pathology; OR
Current medical/health screening including 2 step TB clearance.
Valid State of Hawaii license to practice as a Physical Therapy Assistant or COTA.
Current Basic Life Support CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) certification through the American Heart Association
Medical community relationships and marketing through previous career experiences.
