Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
Conduct inventory of all tools, parts, equipment and supplies within the engineering department.
Clean or lubricate instruments, tools, work areas and other objects using hand tools, power tools, and cleaning equipment.
Examine and test equipment and parts for defects to ensure proper functioning.
Observe equipment and machinery to verify efficient and safe operation.
Hold or supply tools, parts, equipment, and supplies for other workers.
Communicate work material items needed by other workers to the engineering administrative assistants for inventory order.
Conduct facilities tour and report items or areas that will need to be repaired or that may pose as a safety concern.
Order items, including filling out requisitions, obtaining manager approval, and using appropriate vendors.
Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; and complete safety training and certifications.
Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance.
Stand, sit or walk for an extended period of time.
Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
