Job Summary
Customer collection specialist who can manage a portfolio of Ryder E Commerce/Whiplash customer assigned accounts.
Responsible for managing the status of open receivables by partnering with the customer key decision makers.
Customer support for billing issues, dispute resolution and payment resolution to reduce bad debt risk.
Interaction with Sales, Operations Management and Finance Management.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Act as the single receivables advocate for the Ryder E Commerce/Whiplash division
Manage collections, resolve customer disputes and support for analysis and customer feedback.
Identify root cause and close loop resolution on recurrence of disputes in upstream people and processes
Provide weekly updates and overview summaries to customers to ensure aged receivables and disputes are managed within financial targets
Provide regular touch points with the customer to ensure satisfaction with open receivables is provided
Provide status updates to Collections Manager with forecasting on receivables including risk of bad debt expense, loss or other major dispute adversely impacting financial metrics or service levels
SKILLS
Ability to develop an understanding and familiarity of the customer’s processes, build rapport, and provide quality customer service in order to optimize receivables and provide timely support and resolution of issues
Solid experience in in transportation collections to commercial customers in various levels of internal and external management
Ability to work independently and effectively handle multiple tasks with limited supervision
Strong time management skills and ability to assess and prioritize multiple requests while being held accountable for financial results
Ability to work in a fast-paced business environment while maintaining a high degree of integrity and professionalism with the customer base
Ability to understand accounting concepts as they apply to forecasting, reconciliations, and overall portfolio management
Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
Capable of multi-tasking, highly organized, with excellent time management skills
Detail oriented with excellent follow-up practices
KNOWLEDGE
Strong Excel skills – formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP; Strong system skills with large ERP accounting systems; Transportation experience is a plus.
EDUCATION
Associate's degree or 5 years related experience

Salary is determined based on internal equity; internal salary ranges; market
data/ranges; applicant’s skills; prior relevant experience; certain degrees or
certifications, etc.
The salary for this position ranges from $65K-$70K annually.
