ROLE The role of the bookkeeper plays a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of the Kilohana Lighting, Inc.
businesses.
You will be entrusted with the crucial tasks of managing our accounts payable and receivable, ensuring that our financial transactions for both vendor and overhead expenses are handled with precision and timeliness.
You will dive into the details of our financial landscape, reconciling bank accounts for all entities, preparing bank deposits, and maintaining records and filing systems with meticulous attention.
Your expertise will not only be vital in maintaining our day-to-day financial health but also in guiding our strategic fiscal planning.
RESPONSIBILITIES ~ KILOHANA LIGHTING, INC.
(ALL COMPANIES) 1\.
Accounts Payable: Vendor & Overhead Manage and process payments for vendor invoices and overhead expenses for Kilohana Lighting.
Ensure timely payment to vendors and accurate recording of expenses.
2\.
Accounts Receivable: Product / Service / Rental Revenue Streams Oversee and manage the invoicing and collection processes.
Ensure timely receipt of payments and accurate recording in the financial system.
3\.
Bank Account Reconciliations: All Accounts Perform monthly bank reconciliations for Kilohana Lighting accounts.
Identify and resolve discrepancies between bank statements and company records.
4\.
Bank Deposit Preparation: All Accounts: Prepare and organize bank deposits.
Ensure all cash and checks received are accurately recorded and deposited in a timely manner.
5\.
Credit Card Reconciliations: All Accounts: Reconcile all company credit card accounts.
Match credit card statements with receipts and ensure all charges are authorized and recorded properly.
6\.
Cash Account Reconciliations: Reconcile cash accounts to ensure all cash receipts and disbursements are accurately recorded.
7\.
GE Tax Preparation and Submissions: Prepare and submit General Excise Tax (GE Tax) returns for the company.
Ensure accurate calculation of taxes owed and compliance with filing deadlines.
8\.
Other Compliance Tasks Not Related to Payroll: Handle various non-payroll-related compliance tasks, including regulatory filings and compliance with financial reporting requirements.
Stay updated with relevant financial regulations to ensure the company adheres to all legal financial obligations.

Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years in accounting or finance roles.
Skills: Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Experience in customer service or client coordination.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
Familiarity with accounts payable and receivable processes.
Preferred Qualifications Experience: 2+ years in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
Skills: Advanced knowledge of inventory and warehouse management systems.
Experience in customer service or client coordination.
Proven track record of suggesting and implementing process improvements.
